Septic tanks and aerobic systems pumped, cleaned and explained, seven days a week around Tomball.

Jones Septic Tank Cleaning lists 30 years in service. The driver finds the lid, opens every tank, explains what is down there before pumping, and shows you the finished job before the truck leaves.

Two kinds of system, one truck

Conventional tank or aerobic system, both get pumped and cleaned.

Most homes past the city sewer around Tomball run on one of two setups. A conventional tank is a single buried box with a lid. An aerobic system is a run of tanks with an air pump and spray heads. Jones Septic cleans both, and cleans every tank in the run.

In a customer's own words

“The driver was very experienced and explained everything about my aerobic before cleaning all 3 tanks and showed me the job when completed.”

David J., reviewing Jones Septic on Yelp, November 2020

That is the whole standard. Nobody should have to stand in their own yard wondering what the hose is doing.

Count the lids in the lawn.

One round lid, sometimes two, usually means a conventional tank. A short row of lids with a small control box on a post nearby usually means an aerobic system. Not sure which you have? Describe the yard on the phone and the driver will know.

Conventional

One tank. Solids settle, scum floats, clear water runs out to the field.

Aerobic

  1. Trash tank

    Catches the solids first.

  2. Aeration chamber

An air pump feeds the bacteria that break waste down.

  3. Pump tank

Holds treated water for the spray heads.

All three get pumped. Cleaning only the first tank leaves sludge in the other two, and that is the part that reaches the spray heads. How an aerobic clean runs

Yes. Estimates are free. Call and describe the system you have, conventional tank or aerobic, and when it was last pumped if you know.

Yes. An aerobic system usually has more than one tank, and each one is cleaned. One customer wrote that the driver explained everything about his aerobic system before cleaning all 3 tanks, then showed him the job when it was done.

It depends on the size of the tank and how many people are in the house, so there is no single number. Many households land somewhere in the range of every few years. Slow drains, gurgling, odours near the tank or soggy ground over the field are signs not to wait. Call and we can talk through yours.

If you know where the tank lids are, mark them or clear around them. Leave a clear path from the drive to the tank for the hose, unlock any gate, and keep pets inside while the lid is open.
